下午一点过去的，带了『Transformers』过去，问J要不要看，J说不介意看。其实似乎是不太想看，但我还是放了那部DVD。中途太困，就睡着了，醒过来浑身的不舒服。大约4点多离开的，I给了我一盒巧克力，圣诞礼物。

今天收到一封信，是夸我的。

I wanted to pass along a compliment for you. The spiritual counselor was visiting your patient and was told how much you are appreciated. The patient's wife commented on how, knowing that the patient loved westerns, you had studied up on them and watched them with him, and in general how terrific you are.

I can only add that the compliment is well deserved. You have been wonderfully consistent, faithful and compassionate. My deepest appreciation is added to that coming to you from the patient and family.

心里虽然挺高兴的，不过对于这些夸奖，觉得当之有愧。在于自己，完全是用纪律，才坚持到今天。

下午一点到的J家。居然抗住了困倦，没有昏睡过去。

大约过了一个多钟头，I就回家了。我稍微再坐了片刻，大约三点不到离开。

下午一点到J家，呆到4点的样子离开，他始终昏睡未醒。

I出去逛了一圈，回来。我本来准备马上离开的，但她拉住我，说了很久的话。我就好好做听众了。似乎她对未来的生活也很惶恐。虽然照顾病人不见得是好的生活，但久病的丈夫去世，房子卖掉，接下来的生活如何，似乎她有些失落和无所适从。

下午1点到达J家，I已经在家门口的车里等着了。

I的女儿以及那个Marine女婿都在，所以我呆到2点就离开了。

J的气色不错。似乎又挺了过来。听说今天他还坐着轮椅到处去逛了三个钟头。
